Eat More Often To Keep Your Metabolism High
May 27th, 2008 by weightloss
This may come as a shocker for many people: cutting down the number of times you eat in a day won’t necessarily lead to weight loss.
When it comes to shredding those extra pounds, the magic word is “metabolism,” not “fasting.” Metabolism refers to a bodily process of breaking down substances into usable energy. This includes calories, which, as many of us know, can develop into fats if left unutilized.
Basically, if you want to lose weight, you have to quicken the pace of your body’s metabolism.
This can be done without sacrificing the delicacies you have come to love. There are two ways by which you can achieve faster metabolism:
1. If you’re not eating too much to begin with, stick with your existing eating plan. Simply substitute the treats composed of unhealthy ingredients as well as those which are fat-heavy. Your body is used to breaking down that much food anyway. Eat less and your body’s timing will be put in disarray, which may jeopardize the faster metabolism rate you should be aiming for.
2. Divide your usual meal into smaller ones. Eating thrice a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner? Total calorie content for all 3 meals being 1800? Divide breakfast into 2 parts, lunch into another 2 parts, and dinner as it is. You’ll be taking in the same number of calories per day, but they will be divided into smaller intakes, making it easier for your body to break them down into energy.
Losing weight doesn’t have to be a painful sacrifice.
Often, it’s just a matter of budgeting your routines… your meals included.
