Weight Loss And Feeling Good About Yourself
Apr 29th, 2008 by weightloss
One of the main reasons that people want to lose weight is to feel good about themselves. The think that once they’ve lost weight they will then feel good. This can be true to a certain degree but it also means that you put off feeling good about yourself to a future date.
Its as if you’re saying to yourself that you need to look a certain way before feeling good. The problem with waiting until you’ve lost your weight is that in the meantime you don’t feel good about yourself. Perhaps you have low self-esteem, low self-worth or perhaps even feel disgust with your body.
You may even find that when you’ve lost your weight you still don’t feel good about yourself.
I believe that losing weight and feeling good needs to go hand in hand, and be worked on at the same time. Just because you’re carrying more weight than you want to or your body isn’t as toned as you’d like it to be, it doesn’t mean that you can’t feel good about yourself.
Also working on feeling good about your body often helps with the weight loss. The better you feel, the more likely you are to make healthy choices about foods and exercise. Feeling down on yourself often resorts to things like comfort eating, skipping meals and wearing clothes that don’t make the most of you.
You can look and feel fabulous whatever size you are. I encourage you today to think about what you need to do to feel about yourself as a person and your body.
Go on, you’re worth it.
